Why do you believe in the power of the mind?
I believe the mind is more powerful than we know at this time. I have
seen the power of my own mind and the amazing changes in my life as a
result of using the techniques I teach. I have also witnessed the
changes in my clients and friends as they have utilized the power of
their minds. Hypnosis and biofeedback work with the power of the mind.
There are books about successful people who use visualizaton to help
them achieve goals. Athletes talk about how they use visualization to
improve their skills and beat records. I have had clients who came to
me to improve their golf and tennis games! My best friend used
visualization along with other techniques and medical protocol to heal
herself of advanced terminal kidney cancer. More and more people are
recognizing how powerful the mind is and are actively learning how to
harness this power to live happier, healthier, more productive and
fulfilling lives.
There are wellness centers and well communities all over the country
supporting people with cancer and other life threatening diseases. They
often offer programs using visualization and other power of the mind
techniques. I volunteered my services at the Wellness Community in
Santa Monica, CA years ago by taking the participants on guided
visualizations to help them heal their body and their emotions.
Currently, and for the past seven years I have been a hospice
volunteer. I am also Chairperson of the Training Committee for the non profit
organization Compassion in Action. We use visualization
techniques to help our volunteers face their own fears of death and
dying. I have also used visualization techniques with clients in any, or all, areas of life - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
By harnessing the power of your mind you can achieve general and
specific goals, and you can direct your body's own mechanisms to heal
more quickly, easily and with the best possible results. [Top]
